Walking Trails

Cleveland Pools Trust has teamed up with Bathscape, who organise the annual Walking Festival in Bath, for you to enjoy two self guided walking trails to Cleveland Pools.

These gentle strolls celebrate the long-awaited restoration of Cleveland Pools – Britain’s oldest lido and one of Bath’s best kept secrets. Both beginning in Laura Place the shorter walking route takes in Great Pulteney Street, Sydney Gardens and the Kennet and Avon canal to reach the historic site of Cleveland Pools. The longer walk takes in Pulteney Bridge, Walcot Street, Kensington Meadows and Grosvenor Bridge before reaching Cleveland Pools. Both walks return to Laura Place, winding through the lesser-known Bathwick backwaters and taking in Henrietta Park on the way.

Please note that there is currently no routine access to the Pools. Please check back later as our opening programme is put in place.

To view or print out each trail please click on the buttons below. You can also view on Google Maps.

An onsite activity trail has also been designed with children in mind but is suitable for curious adults too. Copies of the trail will be available when you visit but if you’d like to have a nosey now you can download a copy below.
